The BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball program will be hosting the concessions, T-shirt sales, and tournament events. To accomplish this, we will need approximately 75 volunteers willing to give 2 hours of their time to make the championship weekend a success for our kids and the BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball Program. WE NEED YOUR HELP !

Five volunteers from each BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball Team are required (or 10 hours per team) to cover any one of the slotted times over the weekend. We NEED five volunteers from each team in our Squirt, Intermediate, and Senior divisions. We are exempting the Mites teams from this volunteer need being they will only be playing for a couple of hours 11am to 1pm on Saturday. If any of the Mites coaches or parents want to volunteer and take a time slot, that would be greatly appreciated! You can find time slots at various time periods over the weekend below.

Not sure what time slow to sigh up for? We will make arrangements to cover for parents whose daughter is playing during a time slot they sign up.  You will be able to watch your child's game because watching our young girls play is what it's all about!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who support the tournament and help it run smoothly!

Learn to Prevent & Recognize Concussions

The BAC has implemented a new background check and concussion certification process for all coaches and directors.  As it relates to the background check policy and process, please review the information at https://www.trustedcoaches.org/about/policies/ for more details.

The state of Minnesota has mandated that organizations, like the BAC, certify all coaches and officials. Get certified or notify BAC of your certification: Concussion Proof of Certification

A concussion is a brain injury caused by a bump or blow to the head that can change the way your brain normally works. Even what seems to be a mild bump or blow to the head can be serious.

To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions—a type of traumatic brain injury—to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports. The "Heads Up" initiative provides important information on preventing, recognizing, and responding to a concussion.
